Hip Hostess Class – A little Santa, A little Summer a whole lot of Sweet!

Hello and Happy Friday.

Last week I had the pleasure of hanging out with a great group of ladies at Tutti Bambini in South Miami.  We spent about 90  minutes working on a few crafts, talking party ideas, tips and tricks. It was GREAT! I always feel so good after knowing that I helped someone learn how to make something pretty for their next event.

In this class we focused on red tulle pom balls. These are really so versatile and they consist of a simple craft which can be used in so many different ways. Read on to see all the many ways we used them during our Hip Hostess class.

My Cherry Collection was an inspiration from a previous Valentine, leopard, lace and love collection I designed a few years back. A couple years ago, this set up was my very first feature on my all time favorite party inspiration site, Hostess With the Mostess.

I am not sure if you all saw this feature but to check it out go here.

My set up consisted of a delicious cake and mini cakes made by one of my all time favorite party girls, Kirsty from Sugar and Spice Cakes. Mini Cakes are the latest trend and really can be perfect when you are keeping your sweet area simple with drinks and a few treats. In my case, I wanted to show how you can use this gorgeous Sweet Cherry collection for a small gathering with a few girlfriends. You can decorate with the collection when celebrating a birthday, engagement, pregnancy announcement, small shower, promotion, etc… it's really perfect for so many types of celebrations. You don't need to always be so elaborate and have a zilliion dessert options, especially when you are catering to a small crowd for a short amount of time.

Cake and a yummy punch, lemonade or cocktail would work great! =)

SEE………… and how cute are these cherries that decorated the backdrop, want to guess what they are made of…. Yeap! red tulle pom balls

Of course I made sure to add detail (using paper) to EVERYTHING! Details such as the adorable polka dot straws (available for purchase in the shop)which I embellished with paper cherries and sweet cherry tags on the favor boxes, as well food labels (always a plus so guests know what is being served)

Here is another picture of the set up. Also those adorable small 4 inch cakes were all raffled at the end of the class. Four lucky winners took home some yumminess to their families. =)

Another wonderful gift was from Nadia of Soy Candela. Nadia has always been such a gem to work with and she truly carries the most delicious candles ever! Nadia can provide adorable candle favors for any event like the ones our guests received in their Tutti Bambini "swag bag". These favors can be customized with labels and tags to match your event as well.

Here is a snap of our swag bags, read below to see a recap of all the fabulous gifts our guests received.

I set up a darling Christmas in July Corner show casing the Christmas 2012 Rudolph Collection and some of the items from our Christmas in July Sale.

Do you recognize that red tulle pom on the Rudolph Wall Art… See, I told you those little balls are versatile and you would be able to use them year round for several different celebrations. These files and many more will be on available for purchase in the shop.

We also went over different ideas on affordable and very cute ways to create adorable gift packaging for your holiday gift giving.

Everyone created their own Santa Snack bag and for being my guests, they received another freebie, the adorable Santa Snack labels. These ladies are ready for this upcoming Holiday season…. and it's still 5 months away. =)

You've heard me brag about Kirsty in many of my projects and she really is such a doll to work with. Thank You Kirsty for being so wonderful, your cake was amazing and your help was greatly appreciated. =) Here she is sharing some of her own tips and tricks with our guests as she slices into that delicious cake she created. =)

We decided to take a picture at the end of the class before everyone said their good bye's. I was thrilled to meet all these lovely ladies and to be able to spend some quality time doing what we love….. Thank You again for joining me in this Hip Hostess Class.
P.S. all the ladies are holding a wand made of….. You got it, the red tulle pom balls, they simply glued them to a dowel, added some ribbon, some florals or gems and TADA… they have a Christmas Inspired Wand!!!
Told you they were versatile! =) wink*
